Covid 19

The end of term 2 is here and we have all survived another episode of home learning. Thank you to all the junior school parents for bringing back the iPads at the start of the second week of home learning so that we could get them working properly. We have sorted out the issue with the iPads so should we have more problems with Covid 19 the iPads will be able to go straight home without glitches.

We received communication from MACS (Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools) that restrictions are being eased. We are allowed to attend incursions and excursions. The children can attend inter-school sports and there are no restrictions about parents coming into the school. However, all visitors must sign in at the office. What this means for us is that when we come back for term 3 we will be operating the same as before the current lockdown.  We have children who are wearing face masks to school at the moment. This is perfectly understandable and fine for them to do for as long as they wish. The main thing that we need to be careful about is that any staff or children who display any signs of Covid need to stay home.

Reports  and Parent Interviews

If you have any questions or concerns after receiving your child's semester report and their interview please let us know. Next term teachers will be available for face to face meetings at school to discuss your child's needs.

During term 3 we will be looking for feedback from you about the reports and any improvements we could make so it is a better document for parents to read.

Term 3

Term 3 starts on Monday the 12th of July. Next term when we are back at school, the days will start to be a bit brighter. Staff will be focusing on making every minute count for the children in regards to their learning. We have all done our best during the mini lockdowns this year and the big ones last year. In saying that the best place for learning is at school. Everyone needs to focus on the task ahead of giving our Holy Family students days at school that is full of challenge, wonder and learning.

Enrolments

If any families have children that you want to enrol for 2022 please do that as soon as possible. We have more enrolments than normal for this time of year. Prep transition will start during Term 3, so we can better prepare our new students for their start to school.

Holidays

After just having the children at home for a couple of weeks they will now be home again for two more weeks for the holidays. I hope everyone enjoys the break and comes back ready for learning at the start of term 3 on Monday the 12th of July.
