SNACK SHACK IS BACK

We are so very excited to announce that this Friday, the 5th of March, Snack Shack will return!

We wish to say a special thank you to parent volunteer Lee for getting Snack Shack cleaned, sorted and stocked full of yummy treats. Lee, alongside Year 6 volunteers, will open the doors at the start of recess this Friday for students to purchase from our wonderful menu.

SMOOTHIE DAY

Smoothie Day is coming to Ripponlea on Thursday the 25th of March.

Please stay tuned for all details on Compass.

UNIFORM SHOP

The Uniform Shop is back in full swing. Every Friday morning from 9-9:30am you can come along and grab a bargain with second hand uniforms, sample the sizes and purchase brand new items if available.

We love seeing parents back on site however, we do need to follow COVID safe procedures. Only two parents are able to be in the uniform shop with our parent volunteer at a time. If the uniform shop is full please wait outside in the hall until you are informed otherwise.

ANYONE FOR NETBALL?

NET SET GO

Suncorp NetSetGO is Australia’s official starter program for girls and boys aged 5 to 10. It’s a chance to learn the netball basics, get outside and make some friends. For a lot of kids, this is the first time they’ll pick up a netball or chuck on a bib. It’s a learning experience. And a lot of fun.

Caulfield Netball Association will be running a Net Set Go program starting April 30 this year at 4pm on Fridays at Duncan Mackinnon Reserve Murrumbeena. They have said they could accommodate around 25 Ripponlea Primary School kids.

To register, go to this link:

http://finder.netsetgo.asn.au/common/pages/public/programfinder.aspx, enter Caulfield in the "Club/Association/Centre Name" field and hit search and it will come up with the program mentioned above. You can follow the prompts to register from there.

WANT TO START A TEAM?

You may have seen some netball teams training on the school grounds in the mornings. These teams are parent-led, with parent coaches and managers. The kids are permitted to wear the Ripponlea Primary School uniform, and team names usually include "Ripper" in the name, e.g. "Ripper Rockets", "Rad Rippers" etc.

To arrange a training time, you have to liaise with Meagan/Mrs. Rose to find a time that works. It's a good idea to have around 10 kids in the squad. Prahran Netball Association has various competitions running on different days - a 9 & Under competition on Friday afternoons and an 11 & under on Saturday mornings. For the 9 & Under age group there are no ladders and no finals - it's just about having fun and learning the game. All the info you need can be found at www. prahrannetball.com.au

So if you want your kids to get into netball, talk to some friends and get a team together! There's a couple of mums' teams that have been going for years too!
