Mission Action Day 2021
Mazenod College will hold its annual Mission Action Day (MAD) on Thursday 1st April the last day of Term 1 to raise awareness and funds to support the work of the Oblate Fathers. The Oblates continue to serve the needy and marginalised communities facing increasing hardship and our annual fundraiser endeavours to support this work and build on the Catholic Social Teaching principles of upholding Human Dignity and working for Solidarity.
MAD was launched at the Senior School Assembly last week and the Junior School Assembly this week, building excitement amongst the students as they look forward to working together to have fun whilst supporting the cause. Particular details about the day will be sent home to families by the end of the week. In the meantime, you are invited to join in a range of activities.
What can you do now to support MAD 2021?
- Donate items for raffle prizes eg. gift vouchers, electronics, sporting gear, etc. Items can be delivered to the Student Counter or Reception where they will be gratefully received. Items big or small welcome as prizes will be bundled or stand-alone.
- Support the pre-events at school for MARCH MAD-ness and ‘Guess the number of Lollies’ every day in the Quadrangle, entry by gold coin donations at the Great Debate (Thursday 18 March) and Funky Friday (Friday 19 March) and have a go at the lunchtime sports challenges (starting Monday 22 March)
This provides you with a broad sketch of MAD 2021 - more details will be provided in the coming weeks via the newsletter and MazCom.
