YEAR 7 PARENT INFORMATION EVENING - 2021

Dear Year 7 Parents,

We are trust you are well and that your children enjoyed the Year 7 Camp. As you are aware we postponed the Year 7 Information Evening due to the impromptu lockdown earlier in the term. 

Due to the large number of events in term 1 we are unable to run the information sessions this term and will instead run them during the first week of Term 2. We understand that this is not ideal in providing an opportunity early in the year to address questions so please contact your Student Manager or Classroom Teacher if concerns arise.

Families will have an informal opportunity to meet with teachers at the Dinner on the Deck on Friday the 12th of March as well as having the chance for a more formal meeting at the Student Progress Conferences on Wednesday the 31st of March.

The Parent Information sessions will now run at the following times: 

• Parents of Year 7 Hotham Students – Tuesday the 20th  of April, 6:30 pm until 7:30 pm
• Parents of Year 7 Macedon Students – Wednesday the 21st of April, 6:30 pm until 7:30 pm
• Parents of Year 7 Stirling Students – Thursday the 22nd of April, 6:30 pm until 7:30 pm

A number of speakers will present on the evening. Topics covered will include:

• Learning and Teaching
• Home Learning
• The House System
• IT and Cyber Safety
• Student Wellbeing

The content covered will be repeated in each session. We are separating parents into House communities to allow us to meet social distancing requirements. Please wear a mask when in attendance.
