We wish our Year 6 students all the very best for Saturday 13th March when they will be receiving the Sacrament of Confirmation at 2 pm and 4 pm. We keep all of these Year 6 children in our thoughts and prayers during this time.
We also wish our Year 5 students who will finally be receiving the Sacrament of First Eucharist on Sunday 14th March at 10:30 am mass. These children have had to wait for quite a while to celebrate this important ceremony.
A reminder that the school will be closed this Thursday 4th and Friday 5th March for staff professional development. The staff will be attending our biennial (postponed from last year) conference with the focus of the conference on rewriting our school’s Mission and Vision Statement.
We all want our students to get a great education, and the building blocks for a great education begin with students coming to school each and every day.
School participation helps people to develop important skills, knowledge and values which set them up for further learning and participation in their community. Missing school can have a major impact on a child’s academic, emotional and social wellbeing.
There is no safe number of days for missing school. Every Day Counts.
A reminder that you must notify the school via phone or email on the day of your child's absence and the reason for their absence.
A reminder that parent-teacher meetings will be held on Monday 22nd March via Zoom. The school will close at 1pm on this day. Information on how to book a time will be sent out tomorrow (Wednesday 3rd March) via Skoolbag. The meetings will be 10 minutes in duration and you will be asked by your child's teacher prior to the meeting any specific areas that you would like them to address during this meeting.
The first School Advisory Board meeting for 2021 will be held online at 5 pm on Tuesday 16th March. The School Advisory Board is made up of elected representatives of the school parent community - Roan Poltz, Pauline O’Connor, Tracey Pace, Lisa Mancini, Cara Fonua and Gretchen Wooton and members of the school’s leadership team.
The purpose of the SAB is to work closely with the school to implement the School Improvement Plan. The SIP is an important basis for our upcoming school review in 2022.
School fees for the 2020 school year are well overdue and we ask that all parents reconcile their outstanding accounts as soon as possible. If you have not contacted the school to discuss your payment options then we will be contacting parents with outstanding fees to discuss.
This year’s 2021 school fees will receive a substantial $200 discount if paid before the 30th of April.
We ask all parents who may be experiencing financial difficulties at this difficult time to please arrange a time to come and speak with me about your payment options and the assistance we can offer.
