FOUNDATION INCURSION

This week our Foundation students participated in a road safety Incursion. The children learned about being safe as a passenger in a car by wearing a seatbelt correctly and sitting in the back seat. They were shown how to wear a bike helmet correctly and the four steps of being safe when riding a bike, being a pedestrian, or crossing the road.

The steps were STOP, LOOK, LISTEN, THINK - STOP away from the edge of the road, LOOK both ways multiple times, LISTEN for any approaching vehicles, and THINK is it safe for me to cross the road now? The children had a lot of fun and we hope they have shared with family and friends how they can be safe on the road.
