From the Deputy Principal

Michelle Hinds

The time has finally arrived whereby the relaxation of further restrictions has eventuated. Consequently, we will see the opportunity for more parent and family volunteers to be a part of our students' learning at our school as well as at events off campus.

As mentioned last week, I am happy to say that our School Athletics Carnival is now scheduled for Monday 15th March 2021 at Casey Fields. The students look forward to this day and we were fortunate to book another date for this term. Once again, we hope to see many parents and family members there as spectators. Like at school, you will be required to sign in at the venue using our Visitor And Spectator School Attendance Register.

It is a mandated requirement that parents and family members are inducted as volunteers at our school so please ensure you have done so in order to assist.  A current Working with Children Check is also required and is needed to be worn when you are engaging in volunteer work.

If you are interested in volunteering for the newly dated School Athletics Day at Casey Fields please indicate this on the Operoo correspondence for the Athletics Carnival. You will be contacted in due course confirming your attendance on the day. We will be asking that you meet Mr Sanchez and Mrs Hinds at Casey Fields at 8:30am in order to register and receive information about your role on the day. If you have any questions about this, please do not hesitate to contact me: mhinds@sttcbourne.catholic.edu.au or 5996 7525.

A final reminder is to parents of Senior students. Camp information, permission and medical forms were sent to families via Operoo and we ask that these are completed as soon as possible to allow teachers to commence work with group allocations and medical documentation. A Camp Information Evening has been rescheduled for Tuesday 2nd March 2021 at 7:00pm in the school hall.  Please arrive 10 minutes early to allow enough time to register. We hope to see all Senior student parents there as this will be a good opportunity for parents and carers to receive further information about the camp to Candlebark Farm and ask any questions.

Working in partnership.
