R.E News Week 3 Lent

God of infinite love,

I thank you for this reminder of your love

and your call that we be more patient,

gentle and compassionate with others.

Here in the middle of Lent,

I turn to you to beg for your help.

Please soften my heart.

Help me to let go of judging others.

I ask you this, in Jesus' name.

Amen.

Prayer to share at your table before a meal

Lord, we thank you for the blessings of this day and for this time together as family.

We thank you for this wonderful meal and for this hour we can share it.

We then turn to God and ask for what we need.

Help us to remember those who have so much less than we do.

Bless us as a family.

Help us to grow in love and care for each other.

We ask you to comfort and give strength and peace

To those who are sick or struggling in any way.

We now pray;

Bless us, O Lord, and these your gifts, 

which we are about to receive through Christ our Lord. 

Amen.
