Principal's Message

Optimism and gratitude for the supportive actions and commitment of all our ARPS community to our students and the school has certainly been evident over the past week. From teaching staff volunteering their time on camp, to parents (and other family members) volunteering for our working bee, preparing and facilitating the Fathers’ Day stall, organising the Trivia Night and even coming to help tidy out our storerooms- the support has been incredible.

This week, we also celebrated the efforts and talents of our amazing team of Education Support Staff. From our administration team to each of the staff working with students requiring additional support; these staff always put the needs of their students at the centre of everything they do and their dedication and commitment is outstanding. Along with student support roles, our Education Support Staff also facilitate a range of other functions and programs in the school, including:

  • Quicksmart maths intervention program
  • Breakfast Club
  • Gardening Club
  • Community Liaison and Social Media management
  • Anaphylaxis, Asthma and Diabetic staff training schedule and support
  • Office Management and Business management
  • First Aid for students and staff
  • Lost Property management
  • Library
  • Premiers Reading Challenge facilitation
  • Policy development and contractor management
  • Displays and Marketing

The list is possibly endless, but it does demonstrate the huge value to the functions of the school and the support for our students and community that our ES staff provide. I know our families and community are incredibility grateful of the wonderful work and commitment that each of these staff contribute for ARPS every day.

WE WANT OUR PARENTS/CAREGIVERS/GUARDIANS TO TELL US WHAT THEY THINK! THE SURVEY IS STILL OPEN

Our school is conducting a survey to find out what parents/caregivers/guardians think of our school. The Parent/Caregiver/Guardian Opinion Survey is an annual survey offered by the Department of Education and Training that is designed to assist schools in gaining an understanding of families’ perceptions of school climate, student behavior, and student engagement. We encourage all families to participate in this survey. Our school will use the survey results to help inform and direct future school planning and improvement strategies.

While previously a random sample of approximately 30 per cent of parents/caregivers/guardians have been selected to participate, this year, all families are invited to participate in the survey.

The Parent/Caregiver/Guardian Opinion Survey will be conducted from Monday 15th August to Friday 16th September.

SURVEYS WERE EMAILED TO ALL PARENTS VIA COMPASS WITH LINK AND ACCESS PIN INFORMATION.

The survey will be conducted online, only takes 20 minutes to complete, and can be accessed at any convenient time within the fieldwork period on desktop computers, laptops, tablets or smartphones. The online survey will be available in a range of languages other than English. These include: Arabic, Vietnamese, Simplified Chinese, Chin (Hakha), Hindi, Japanese, Somali, Turkish, Punjabi and Greek.

We are eager to have as many families as possible taking part in the survey-every family matters and we are eager to hear a ‘voice’ from every parent/carer in the school!
