Art

During Book Week we introduced students to four Indigenous Artists from around Australia.  We drew inspiration from their subject matter to help them create their artwork. Our tables were filled with shells, feathers, seed pods and bottlebrush.  Using a variety of drawing mediums including charcoal, wax crayons, fine liners and coloured pencils; our students were asked to sketch detailed observational drawing of these items, keeping in mind the Elements of Art.  Some of the students' amazing artwork is on display in the corridor.

Our Preps to Grade 3 students will be completing their Clay Gingerbread Houses in Term 4.  While our Grade 4s and 5s will be creating a 3D Picasso-Inspired Self Portrait.  Our Grade 6 students will be planning, designing and creating a unique Surfboard that has been inspired by their understanding of Street Art.  These will be displayed at the Graduation Ceremony.
