Wheel Chairs For Kids Excursion

Last Thursday our Year 4s had the pleasure of visiting Wheel Chairs For Kids in Wangara, an amazing local charity that makes and distributes wheelchairs to over 80 countries worldwide for children in need. Brother Ollie Pickett, the founder of the charity, talked to the students about the power of Christian Service and what being a 'Man For Others’ is all about.

Year 5 Camp Kelly

Year 5 students had a wonderful time at Camp Kelly earlier this week. This year the boys had a program full of fun activities and a variety of new experiences from bush technology and cubby building, archery tag (which was a big hit) and a challenging raft building activity requiring lots of teamwork and cooperation.

The Year 5 boys had many opportunities to learn and grow as young men; they were challenged, forged bonds and I am sure they came home buzzing with excitement.  It was a wonderful experience for both students and teachers, and we all came back better for it.

JPSSA Interschool Athletics

Well done to all the boys involved in the Interschool Athletics carnival yesterday. You represented Trinity fantastically by the way you competed, the way you supported each other and by the great sportsmanship you showed.

Thank you boys, for all the effort you put in by attending many training sessions before school over the last two weeks. We were leading for a good part of the day, finishing up in third place. Thank you also to Mr Thompson for the coordination of all that is involved in preparing for the competition, to the teachers who have supported the boys with training and to the many parents who supported the boys throughout the day.

Junior School Ethics Olympiad

Next Tuesday some of our Junior School boys will participate in an Ethics Olympiad. They will be Zooming in to the competition to be held in the morning. Cash Allen, Thomas Batten, Frederick Brockett, Joel Murabito, and Nicholas Pritchard will be participating.  Thanks to Mrs Ricki Boe for enabling this competition and supporting the boys.

Assembly and Junior School Mass

This morning Year 6 White hosted a lovely Junior School Mass. Thank you to Mrs Rogers and Mrs Stalley, the boys for the wonderful reading and to Mrs Clarke and our beautiful singers. In the afternoon we finished the day with a very entertaining assembly hosted by Year 6 Blue - thank you Mr Paljetak and boys, great work!

Year 7 Profile Testing

In order to gain thorough academic information about all students enrolled in Year 7 at Trinity College in 2023, testing will be conducted for our Year 6 students on Friday, 16 September. The testing will cover literacy, numeracy, and non-verbal reasoning skills.

It will take 2.5 hours to administer the tests inclusive of a short break. This information will be used to guide curriculum planning and to help monitor students’ achievements during their time at Trinity College. The testing programme will provide valuable information that will enable teachers to assist your son to work to his full potential. Testing will take place in Gibney Hall.

Lost Property

We have gathered quite a bit of lost property that we have been unable to reunite with owners. This has now been taken to the lost property at Student Services. If your son is missing an item please check with Student Services.

Prefects Corner

by Ethan B (6W) and Kobe J (6G)

On Monday the Year 5s left to go on their three-day camp to Trinity’s Camp Kelly to learn and to some experience fun activities. All the Year 5s had a great time there and really enjoyed it.

On Tuesday, the Year 6s had the Junior School to themselves because the Year 4s were lucky enough to go to Perth Zoo! It provided a great opportunity for the Year 4s to learn new things and see lots of animals and get educated about them. The Year 4s had a wonderful time.

On Wednesday, the Year 5s came back from Camp Kelly. Also on Wednesday was the second last training session for the interschool athletics team. On Thursday the interschool boys went to the PSA Interschool athletics all day carnival. Trinity with a massive effort came 3rd overall with Scotch winning and Christchurch coming 2nd. Well done to the athletes.  Also on Thursday, the Junior School for the first time won the Zenith Catholic Performing Arts clock for the first time.

The Senior School also won the clock meaning Trinity has both the clocks now. A huge thank you to everyone who participated in the competition. On Friday, 6 White had their class Mass in the Chapel with Matteo, Connor and Daniel altar serving and Father Oscar as always talked and praised about God. Also on Friday, we were lucky enough to have 6 Blue’s class Assembly. They had been working hard to do it with the help of Mr P.
