Out and about

Year 10 Outdoor Education

Year 10 Outdoor Education has been out and about over the last few weeks

Thursday 11 August we planted our winter crop in the MGSC Vegetable Garden.

Thursday 18 August we visited Braeside Park to explore the wetlands and discuss the land management practices in place to protect the environment. (photo above)

Thursday 25 August we went to the Royal Botanical Gardens to walk through their ‘Connection to Country’ session ran by Indigenous Australian guide Jakobi. We learnt all about the local natives planted in the area, their uses both medicinal and practical. We learnt about European settlement and the changes that need to occur in the gardens due to climate change/ global warming.
