Principal's Message

Dear parents, students and the wider community,
Fathers' Day is this Sunday. Thank you to the mums and the senior students who ran the Fathers' Day Stall this week for the students. There was a huge range of gifts and I'm sure all the students have chosen wisely. On Thursday we had our first ever Fathers' Day Morning Tea. Knowing how much the Mothers' Day Morning Tea was a success we thought we would replicate it. We felt this morning was a huge success with somewhere between 70-80 fathers, grandfathers, mothers and grandmothers in attendance. Thank you for finding the time in your busy days to be here and thank you to the staff for coming up with so many fun activities for the visitors to do with the students. A special thanks to our Parish Priest, Fr Martin, for joining us as well.
On this Father’s Day, you may like to use this quick prayer to honor dads, husbands, sons and all the men in our lives. Let’s praise God for placing these honorable, kind, gentle souls in our paths for His loving light to shine through, providing us with a beautiful example of what it means to live for God.
Dear God,
Thank you for all the fathers and father-figures in this world and for the many ways you use them to lovingly guide others to Your heart. I ask that you would bless them and give them great joy and peace. May they see You and know You in new ways. Show them how much you love them and care about them. Guide their steps, use their hands, and make them a blessing to others as you continue to fulfill your special purpose for their lives.
Amen.
Tomorrow our senior sports teams will be competing in a Lightning Premiership at Kananook PS against the local schools we play sport against. Parents are, as always, welcome to come along and support.
Next week we have our Foundation 2023 Information Night Wednesday 7 September 6.30-7.15pm. Mrs Lacey has also been organising with our student Our House Spirit team to have a day together in our teams on Friday 9 September.
On another note Mrs Ary is on Long Service Leave until the end of Week1 Term 4. Miss Hannah Uehara, who has now graduated after completing her final teaching round in Miss Holmes 3/4 class, is teaching PE and Art in Brooke's absence. It has been great to have her as part of this staff already this week.
God Bless and stay well
