Kirk W. - 00L

This award goes to Kirk for his tremendous enthusiasm in our class discussions this week. He has shared lots of creative ideas in our writing time and he has been inspired to write many sentences about his character.  Kirk, you have an amazing imagination!  Well done on your fantastic effort.  You are a Scoresby Superstar!

Tyler S. - 1/2D

Congratulations to Tyler on a wonderful week of learning and growing. Tyler demonstrated great team work skills during reading this week, as he worked together with his partner to match short pieces of information about Honey Bees to its relevant subheadings. Well done Tyler. Your hard work allows you to learn so much! You should be proud of yourself 

Leila W. - 1/2G

This award goes to Leila to recognise her hard work across each subject. Leila makes sure to take her time and complete each activity to a high standard. As well as this, Leila constantly shows the HEART value of Respect to not only her teacher but to her classmates. This is why you are such a fantastic role model to 1/2G. Never let anyone stop you from being amazing, Leila! 

Ellarae W. - 1/2K

This award goes to Ellarae for the way she shows kindness. She displays this by always being a happy helper in the classroom. Ellarae volunteers to help others and her teachers. She can be relied on to complete tasks of responsibility quickly and efficiently. She will often be the first to jump up and help her peers locate lost belongings. She is well across everything in 1/2K. Ellarae, we would be lost without you!

Keely R. - 3/4B

This award goes to Keely for showing the HEART value Excellence. She has been working very hard on her narrative writing this week and produced an interesting story about a girl in a singing competition. Keely found creative ways to ‘Show’ what is happening in her story and include details. Keep up the great work Keely!

Hayley R. - 3/4K

This award goes to Hayley for the effort she is making to complete her classwork on time. Hayley is checking instructions quickly if she is unsure of what to do. She is keeping her belongings more organised so that she can find her equipment quickly. When working Hayley is trying to remain focused and complete all of her work within the timeframe. Keep it up Hayley!

Chenaya P. - 3/4S

This award is presented to Chenaya for the descriptive writing she has included in her narrative. Chenaya has been practising the strategy of ‘show don’t tell’, where she uses interesting vocabulary to show the reader where the story is set and what the characters are like. Keep up the amazing work Chenaya.

Marquez S. - 5/6F

This award goes to Marquez for displaying his Scoresby HEART values during the Level 5/6 Summer Sport Cricket Day. During the day he showed his sportsmanship by encouraging other players and doing his best while batting, bowling and fielding. Marquez should be commended on his excellent effort in what were less than favourable conditions. He should be very proud of his achievements!

Patris N. - 5/6M

This award goes to Patris for his constant focus and commitment to his learning. This was demonstrated during the reading session on Tuesday with his engagement and concentration on finding metaphors and similes in his independent reading book. Keep up the great work Patris!

Amir R. - 5/6W

This award goes to Amir for his outstanding efforts and achievements in Mathematics this week. Amir has been successful in enlarging shapes ensuring that he keeps the ratio consistent. Wonderful effort Amir! Keep up the excellent work!

Dante K. - Visual Arts

This award goes to Dante for his creativity when designing a collage using wrappers, that was inspired by the shortlisted Book Week book, ‘Walk of the Whales’. After making his whale, Dante used his knowledge of ocean creatures to fill his paper with extra detail. Using colour for the whale and newspaper for the extras was an ingenious, artistic idea Dante!

Aria K. - Performing Arts

This award goes to Aria for some very groovy dancing to the Nutbush. It’s wonderful to have a new student in the Performing Arts with passion for music and dancing. Well done!

Phoebe K. - Performing Arts

This award goes to Phoebe for some very expressive drumming. Phoebe played the hi hats with perfect timing and dynamic sensitivity to really complement the rest of the class during our rehearsal time. Well done Phoebe!

Jake W. - Mandarin

This award acknowledges Jake for his work in Mandarin class. We have been learning about the words for different countries and Jake has been practising, saying the words in Mandarin and English. Great effort, Jake!
