Boarding at Cunderdin Ag has really kicked a few goals lately and the results are in.

The Student Council are well under way in planning their leavers jumpers for next year and the designs for all students to choose from are really smart. The staff are quite jealous and want to have their own jackets !!

Student Council have also voted on having “Containers for Change”  There is no shortage of drink bottles and other containers at the College that are worth 10 cents each to be recycled with the proceeds to go to the student cohort for sports equipment or activities. The black bins are being decorated this weekend and will be put in the dorms next week.

I have been meeting with students to discuss how we can improve their boarding experience and decorating the common rooms is big on their agenda. As part of their plans we have come up with quick decorating ideas (and more long term for next year) and on the weekend we had an outing to IKEA. It was great fun and the students chose some wonderful options. The common room in Linto looks fabulous already. More to come.

We shall be having an informal Halloween Pizza night on Sunday 31st October so come back early on Sunday, dressed up for a bit of scary fun in the outdoor eatery.

All Residential Staff have noticed a marked improvement in students respectful interactions with each other, ancillary staff and others. Keep up the good work. A "thank you", “good morning” or “hi” goes a long way and can really make someone’s day.

This last fortnight we celebrated a number of birthdays of boarders and residential staff. I am hoping we can do this better next year as it is a great opportunity to make someone feel special. Should you wish to drop something off for your child so we can surprise them please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
