From the Associate Principal

Paul Beecham

Associate Principal

I would like to begin by thanking all staff, students and members of the community who have made me feel very welcome at the College. I have been especially impressed with the students who have greeted me every time I have seen them around the College. The maturity they display in their behaviour is a pleasure to observe and their passion for their education and all the benefits that arise from this are a credit to both themselves and you as parents and guardians.

I am endeavouring to get around to see every Year 11 student over the next two weeks. This will enable me to introduce myself and to build a profile of all students currently being educated within the confines of the College. It also allows me to sit with them and discuss their progress through their WACE Tracker. They will be provided with a copy that they can discuss with their parents and guardians.

Prep time is still continuing courtesy of the generosity of many of our wonderful staff. Please make sure your child makes the most of this fantastic opportunity to revise new content or catch up on late or incomplete work. With exams coming up and Vocational Units of Competency requiring completion, please encourage your child to make use of this service. I will personally be in the prep room Tuesday and Thursday evenings and I am more than happy to have students come to me and discuss their academic and social progress.

The strength of any educational institution is in the connections that exist between all stakeholders and I firmly believe that positive relationships build trust and trust builds positive relationships. This enables growth and achievement in your child which is something we can all be proud of.

Please contact me at the College if you have anything you would like to discuss. Again, thanks very much for allowing me to be involved in your child’s educational journey.
