Moore Room
We had such a wonderful week reconnecting upon return to kinder.
It was also a great week of fine motor skill manoeuvres as we practiced our names, cut out some fabulous crowns, play dough transient art and placement for canvas craft creations. We also sorted and looked at shell patters and life on a farm.
Some lovely mini concerts, mindfulness moments and ordering treats in our ice-cream parlour all contributed to such cooperative communication, engagement and connections. It is so good to be back!

Dickins Room
We had a fantastic week back, with so many of our children returning and such a wonderful buzz in the room as the children reconnected with each other.
Our Wimbi class explored construction, both indoors and outdoors- working together to create a house with the outdoor blocks, using their communication skills to negotiate roles and assigning tasks amongst each other.
The children happily engaged in drawing and creative experiences, the playdoh and water play. There has been a marked increase in cooperative play, which is wonderful to observe given the length of time we have been away.
Our Marram class was so excited to be back! We spent time engaging in games, reading stories and reconnecting. There was a great deal of focus in the children's play and engagement this week, with the children's interactions demonstrating sustained focus and attention.
We focused on literacy, each child wrote their name next to a letter they had created out of dippy dye painting, we then laminated these and will use them for place mats at lunch time.
We can't wait for another fantastic week back together.

As we do return, you can support your child and the Kindergarten staff in the following ways:
- Jackets/ Jumpers- if the weather is cool, please send your child in or with a jacket or jumper. We will be opening our windows and maximising airflow at all times.
- Being on time: It is crucial that families drop and pick up their child on time, not just for COVID, but most importantly for the wellbeing of each child. As part of the DET Covid requirements, we need to create a Kindergarten bubble, and as such we won't be using the main doors to the school. IF you are late, you will need to call the main office and wait at the door that we use to collect and dismiss the classes.
