Selamat siang!

Astaga! It seems like time is really flying now! Almost halfway through the term, with students returning this week! Whilst I've had fun with students onsite helping to support the amazing activities teachers have planned, it's certainly no comparison to having students back in the class!

Over the last two weeks I've had the absolute privilege to work with 1/2 students back in classes. Students have been practicing names of the whole family, as well as challenging themselves to comprehend full sentences in Indonesian. Last week saw some kreatif sekali families for characters such as Pak Sponge Bob, Bu Bluey and even Bu Honan!

Whilst Specialist teachers supported onsite and returned students over the last two weeks, students have had the opportunity to choose from a range of activities on a Specialist Choice board. I could not be prouder of the spectacular work completed by our students over the last two weeks! 

I would like to take this opportunity on behalf of the Specialist teachers team to say a HUGE terima kasih to all students and families for their effort, kreativitas, zest and passion to persist in learning their Specialist subjects. Terima kasih to all families that supported sports games, created artistic master pieces, learned Indonesian and are word-perfect for all the Production Songs. 

Now to look ahead to a brilliant and busy last few weeks of term!

Physical Education

Junior - Anisha (FH)

For displaying outstanding balancing skills with the bean bag challenges. Your focus and drive to succeed was inspiring to your peers. Wonderful Work!

Senior - Ethan R (3/4M) 

For a wonderful start back to onsite PE classes. Your engagement and love of learning mini golf skills was a joy to see! Superstar!

Visual Art

Junior - Sabrina R (FJ)

For showing care and creativity in her leaf painting. You worked well with others and demonstrated how you experimented with paint and texture. Well done!

Senior - Neve L (5/6B)

For an amazing and detailed 'upside down face drawing' of Harry Potter. You have shown great effort in your Visual Arts tasks. Well done! 

Indonesian

Junior - Mia H (1/2H)

For showing zest and humour when creating a silly family to demonstrate your understanding of keluarga sentences. Your picture hilariously demonstrated the es-krim mum and the kucing dad. Hebat!

Senior -  Dyuthi D (3/4G)

For creating a stunning batik piece as part of your Indonesian Choice board. You showed a fantastic knowledge of the repeated patterns and natural imagery of plants and flowers often pictured. Bagus sekali!

Performing Arts

Junior - Vidya C (FD)

For demonstrating outstanding vocal expression when performing as the wolf in 'The Three Little Pigs'. Vidya did a fantastic job of performing the part from memory. Super work!!

Senior - Harry E (3/4M)

For demonstrating focus and dedication when rehearsing his part in the school production 'The Lion King Jr'.  Well done Harry for working so hard on learning the class formations and all the dance choreography.
