Dear families and friends,

Welcome back to Term 4 and congratulations to all Melbourne Demons supporters!  It has been a long wait for Demons supporters, and us Bombers continue to hold on to hope that our turn will arrive one day ... !

My head is certainly spinning after 2 weeks. It is spinning with joy and excitement. I feel blessed to have joined such a vibrant community. In such an uncertain time in our world we have such open and trusting educators, children and communities. Our educators have certainly displayed resilience with the new mandates and requests, jumping straight into how do we make the return for children positive and joy-filled. On this note: we will have a day of joy - Friday November 5th - wear your house colours and let’s have some fun.

STAFFING

We wish our long service to leave people well in Term 4 - Trish and Sylvia. We hope your long service brings all that you hoped for. Cristina will replace Sylvia in our admin office. Lidia will fill Cristina’s role at St Stephens also.

We have hit  the ground running and we are nearly through our staffing for 2022. We wish Jacob all the best in 2022 as he continues his journey of teaching at Lalor.

We will welcome a new experienced teacher to the fold, a P.E specialist and a Farm to kitchen teacher.  We will let you know as soon as we confirmed this process.

We will be strengthening our intervention teams across both schools by welcoming Melissa Rametta and Jackie Millar as Literacy intervention and Numeracy intervention roles. This will support our children who require intervention.

I look forward to November when we are back together as a school community. Until then I hope each day is becoming lighter with daylight savings and brighter with the prospect of connection nearing.
