ZENITH - RESILIENCE GUIDE FOR PARENTS
Dr Aimee Maxwell has previously delivered wellbeing programs in the college and provides this helpful message for our community.
This is an intense and difficult time for a lot of people. Here is a useful resource for families A Resilience for Parents. It is one of the best guides that I have come across with free access through the pandemic.
STAFF V YEAR 12 STUDENTS SOCCER MATCH
On Monday, August 16, Year 12 students and staff participated in the inaugural soccer match as part of celebrating languages week. It is one of the highlights of the year, whereby Year 12 students can put their school books down, close their laptops and instead, strap some much needed shin guards on, whilst tying their football boots tighter.
In a sea of fluro, mismatched football guernseys, and enthusiasm, it was an opportunity for students and staff to let off a little steam and have some fun on the field. The roar of the student body in support of their peers was heard from the centre of town as the Year 12 students took to the field in an attempt to win against the staff.
What a match it was! From Andre Gallo’s keen footwork to Mr Greville, rivalling the likes of Usain Bolt’s speed on the field, to Mr Menhennett’s stellar goal saving, the match was electric. Staff scored the first goal, which only made the students more determined to win, and even after their entire year level taking to the field, alas they were no match for the skilled teachers.

NATIONAL YOUTH SCIENCE FORUM (NYSF)
Congratulations to Anna Joseph, for being successfully selected to represent the Sunraysia District in the 2022 NYSF Year 12 Program.
Anna will be attending a 12-day hybrid program. The program is designed to give students a broader understanding of the diverse study and career options available in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM). During the program, Anna gets the opportunity to participate in tours of science and technology facilities; learn about cutting-edge research; engage with industry partners and research providers; learn about study options and STEM career pathways; mix with other like-minded students from all over Australia; and network with former NYSF participants on STEM-related study and career pathways.
In addition, Anna will participate in sessions on entrepreneurship, critical thinking, science communication, working together effectively, and much more.

CONGRATULATIONS
Congratulations to St Joseph’s College Alumnus Hayley Leake who outwitted, outplayed and outlasted the competition to win Australian Survivor – if that’s not boundless, we don’t know what is!
