TERM 3 2021 PRINCIPAL'S AWARD

Congratulations Rory Pullen. 

Rory is a Year 7 student and a member of Chisholm house. He is a member of Mr Forrest’s homeroom and has been nominated by Mr Forrest. 

 

Rory is always in his correct uniform and wears the uniform with pride.  He attends homeroom every morning arriving on time and participates in activities during extended pastoral care. Rory also volunteered to do a reading at the St Joseph the Worker Mass when Mr Forrest asked for volunteers even though he was out of his comfort zone.  Well done Rory!

 

Congratulations Bailey McLaughlan

Bailey is a Year 8 student and a member of Padua house.  He is a member of Ms Burns’ pastoral care group and has been nominated by Mr Parker. 

 

Bailey has been nominated for this award due to his constant efforts in class to not only do the best that he can, but to also assist those around him. He is always on time and prepared for his lessons and is a willing participant in all class discussions and activities.

 

Congratulations Megan Potgieter

Megan is a Year 9 student and a member of Chisholm house. She is a member of Mr McGlashan’s homeroom and has been nominated by Mr Collins.

 

Megan is an exceptional student who always works to the best of her ability. She is polite and respectful to her fellow students and the staff of the college. She achieves consistently high grades in all her subjects. She wears her uniform correctly and sets a high example for other students. She also contributes to the college community as a peer support leader and volunteered to be a member of the SRC.

 

Congratulations Alexandru Stoica.

Alexandru is a Year 10 student and a member of Chisholm house. He is a member of Mr Forrest’s homeroom and has been nominated by Mrs Manfield.

 

Alexandru is a hard-working student, who is an active member of the classroom. He prides himself on taking his work seriously and works diligently to achieve the best results. He is an insightful, mature and intelligent student and is an excellent role model. Alexandru was a tour guide for our Open Evening and enthusiastically boasted about all the areas of the college, whilst making families feel secure and happy about their potential future school choice.

 

Congratulations Alisa Campisi 

Alisa is a Year 11 student and a member of McAuley house. She is a member of Mrs Oldham’s homeroom and has been nominated by Mrs Chamberlain. 

 

Alisa exhibited huge personal growth during Australian Business Week. She pushed herself beyond her comfort zone, made new friends, and demonstrated excellence, community, teamwork, and creative skills whilst gaining confidence and the trust of her teammates. Alisa developed personally and epitomised the reason this program benefits our Year 11 students. She has gained skills that she will take with her into her future studies and employment and reminds us all of what we can achieve here at St Joseph’s College.

 

Congratulations Holly Thompson

Holly is a Year 12 student and a member of MacKillop house. She is a member of Mr Petrie’s homeroom and has been nominated by Mrs Aston.

 

Holly assisted with the filming for the college advertising campaign during science. Holly also assisted with our other students on the Open Evening and other extracurricular events after school hours.

 

Holly has a great sense of pride in herself and the college and has the respect of her peers. She has a can-do attitude and makes students and families feel welcome.
