SSVS BOYS FOOTBALL

What a fantastic day of football. The Year 7/8 team won all three games against Merbein P-10 College, Chaffey Secondary College and Irymple Secondary College.

The team kept all the opposition teams scoreless, and we were able to score over 100 points in each game.

I was extremely impressed with the discipline and commitment that the players showed over the course of the day. Bring on Swan Hill.

The year 9/10 intermediate boys team played against Merbein P-10 College, Trinity Lutheran College and Irymple Secondary College on Thursday August 19. The college team won all games comfortably, showing great skill and effort in what was a warm, sunny winter day.

Highlights included captain Ned Oldham kicking eight goals in one game, largely due to great delivery from the midfield and defenders keeping the opposition goalless in two of our games.

MVP – Liano Scullino

McAuley Award – Alex Hollingworth
