Speech Night 2021

Mrs. Audrey Fellowes - Deputy Principal - Head of Primary

Clayfield College’s 91st Annual Speech Night is on Tuesday 16 November 2021 at the Concert Hall, Queensland Performing Arts Centre. This significant event in the College calendar celebrates the achievements of our students in a range of areas including academics, sport, music, leadership and personal endeavour. It is also an occasion to honour our Year 12 graduating class.

Events such as Speech Night are rich learning opportunities and wonderful expressions of community. All students from Years 7 to 12 will be required to attend Speech Night, with select Yr 6 students who have been invited to participate in musical ensembles. The evening begins at 7.00 pm and finishes at approximately 9.30 pm. Students will meet their Head of Year or House Leader at the Concert Hall at 6.30 pm. Details regarding the organisation of this, and the arrangements for students to be collected at the end of the evening, will be provided to parents in due course. Full summer uniform with blazers and badges, but without hats is the expectation.

Tomorrow during the Academic Assembly, Student Leaders for 2022 and Speech Night prizes will be announced and in the coming weeks, you will be sent correspondence with information on how to book seats for Speech Night. Due to COVID-19 Stage 2 restrictions, no parents will be permitted at the Assembly on Friday 8 October.

Additionally, students who are receiving prizes on Speech Night will be given information on the process of ordering their books.

**Please be aware, all events are subject to change given current circumstances due to COVID-19.
