The 4 YO's are off to Blackburn Lake Sanctuary for an exciting experience exploring habitats with the Ranger. Please ensure you read the notice that was sent out this week thoroughly for all the details.
Permission slips need to be returned prior to the excursion by Wednesday 23rd August.

All children attending school the following year will have a Transition Statement written for them by their teacher. The teachers are beginning the process now, entering data into the online portal where these statements are collated. As part of the document the teachers will ask you and your child to complete a section. It is a great way to share information with your child's Foundation Teachers to help them plan for your child. There will be deadlines to complete these sections, as the teachers will need to submit the Statements in time for schools to utilise the information for forming grades. So please complete these as soon as you can once you receive the links via email.
An email will be sent out next week to all families in the 4 YO program giving families all the details they need about this process.
We are trialling a little helping pantry at the kinder. We have all had our kids express an interest in trying something new for snack boxes and we excitedly purchase a pack of the item, only to find after one little nibble, your child decides, they don't like it!
If this happens to you , and you are frequently left with (not yet expired) packaged food you can come and put it in the basket in the foyer at the kinder for other children to try. You can then also take just one portion of other items from the basket, for your child to try to save you having to buy an entire box or pack. Consider it, a try before you buy! Then if they like it, you can confidently purchase a whole pack or if they don't you haven't wasted anything.
You will find the basket in the foyer at the kinder. Please bring in any in date packaged items that your children won't eat and feel free to take a packaged item for your child to try!
