PE

What an unreal term so far for sporting events! Our students in Grades 3 - 6 were super excited to participate in their basketball Hooptime days. After heaps of practise in our PE lessons, we were able to go into the day with loads of confidence. We received glowing feedback from each coach with how well our students competed, ensuring they represented the school with pride. Our Grade 3/4 future stars team won their grand final and the Grade 5/6 future stars team got into the semi finals. We are so proud of these incredible achievements!

We were lucky enough to have Paul come and complete a golf clinic for our students in Grade 1 - 4. Students learnt key putting and driving skills and focused on being controlled and accurate with their shots.

All grades have been focusing on their dance skills within P.E sessions - this has been heaps of fun. Students have experimented with individual dances, group dances and partner dances. We have been choreographing our own dances and performing them in front of the class.

Finally, our junior grades have world cup fever! They have been working hard at practising their soccer skills including passing, trapping and dribbling the ball. I’ve been so proud to see their progression over the last few weeks, well done!

LOTE

Our Middle and Senior grades have been travelling internationally within our Auslan classes. We have been learning to sign about countries around the world, including their landscapes and flags. It’s been great to see students communicate about where they would like to travel, what they would like to see and who they would like to go with.

Our juniors have been focusing on our own beautiful country of Australia and learning about the states, cities and weather within these areas. In the next few weeks we will explore the foods that we like to consume and famous landscapes that we would like to visit.
