3-4TG: A Snapshot

SJV Day

Last week we celebrated the Feast Day of St. John Vianney. We watched a video and read about his life, recording facts and significant dates about St. John Vianney. Then we designed an information poster, including a portrait. A display was made in our room; it looks great!

Swimming Begins!

Today was the first day of our swimming program. We travelled to the pool at Haileybury and were sorted into our groups. The pool was huge! Our swimming teachers are helping us to build our swimming skills, which is very important. In Summer, we will be able to head to the pools and beaches with confidence!

No Year 4s?!

While our brave explorers (Year 4s) headed off into the unknown (Ballarat) last week, our Year 3 students enjoyed a fantastic three days together. We had special visitors in our classroom (students from the other classes) which was a lot of fun!

We solved maths challenges, read and solved comprehension problems together, and learned new ways of improving our work presentation. Here are some of our posters, where we learned “lettering” and decorated borders that will add detail and interest to our future projects. They are SO creative! Well done, Year 3s!
