NAPLAN

Last term our Year 3 students and our Year 5 students participated in the 2023 NAPLAN tests and this term they received their NAPLAN results. 

 

Our overall school results were very positive across all areas of the curriculum with most students achieving at or above the expected standard. Our school achieved exceptional success in the area of writing with 90% of Year 5 students and 88% of Year 3 students achieving at or above the expected level.

 

The information below summaries our whole school results:

 

Year 3

Reading: 82% of students achieved at or above the expected standard.

Writing: 88% of students achieved at or above the expected standard.

Spelling:  80% of students achieved at or above the expected standard.

Grammar & Punctuation:  70% of students achieved at or above the expected standard.

Numeracy: 73% of students achieved at or above the expected standard.

 

Year 5

Reading: 76% of students achieved at or above the expected standard.

Writing: 90% of students achieved at or above the expected standard.

Spelling:  82% of students achieved at or above the expected standard.

Grammar & Punctuation: 72% of students achieved at or above the expected standard.

Numeracy: 81% of students achieved at or above the expected standard.

 

Later in the year we will receive the State means scores and we will be able to compare our results to the results of the State.  This information will be communicated to families later in the school year.
