Visual Arts

Term three has been a very busy term in the art room.  Here are some photos of some of the activities that each level in the school has been doing.  The quality of work that each student is producing is amazing.  Well done to everyone for always aiming to do their very best.

Foundation

The Foundation class have had a focus on clay work and are starting a painting unit.  They made wind chimes and were learning to use watercolour paints. Here are some photos of some of the beautiful art pieces created this term.

Years 1 and 2

The Year Ones and Twos have been completing a paper construction unit.  They have made some great pieces.  Included are some photos of some beautiful flowers.  They have also had some lessons focussing on developing their drawing skills.  They used some robot mannequins to help draw a character.

Years 3 and 4

Year 3 and 4 started the term finishing our work inspired by the famous work of Paul Klee's,  Castle and Sun.  We then moved onto a collage unit and have been creating some excellent pictures of some very yummy looking burgers.

Year 5 and 6

The Year Five and Six level have spent the term finishing off a printing unit and then worked on developing their understanding of colour theory and one point perspective drawing.  Each student created their own printing plate using cardboard before repeating their design to print a mandala.   They have created art peices that demonstrate a variety of tints, shades and tones for primary and secondary colours and have just started creating a drawing of a busy city employing one point perspective.  Please enjoy the photos of our completed printing and colour work as well as the beginning of our drawing art piece.
