Our Year 1 Science Adventure!

How wonderful to see our Year 1 students enjoy the mysteries of Science with a visit from Professor Bunsen Burner. We do appreciate all the visitors to Beaumaris Primary offering further educational opportunities.

Next Thursday - come and enjoy Maths at Beaui Primary.

We invite parents and carers to join classes next Thursday morning between 9:15am and 10:30am to discover how we teach Maths. This opportunity is a response to your desire to have a deeper understanding of your child's learning. You can drop in any time during this time, visit one class or maybe see a range. Each term we will extend an invitation to you to join us as we build connections between home and your child's classroom.

Parent Consultation Evening

Our Parent Consultation Evening is at 7pm on Thursday 10th August. We have looked at last year's Parent Opinion Survey to identify 5 areas for us to review: Behavioural Education, Communication, Learning Support,  Reporting and Assessment, and School Improvement. On the evening you will be able to join focus groups (around 20 minutes each) to discuss three of these topics of your choice.

For our planning please register your intention to attend and which three focus groups you would like to join at the following link -

Student Attendance - Please reflect.

There is some concern regarding our attendance data and we are eager to promote a healthy approach to students enjoying school life every day. Of course, we do understanding this is not always possible, but we know you will support our aim to minimise student absences.

The Department of Education shares the concern and hopes parents will consider the following

"Going to school every day is the single most important part of your child’s education. Students learn new things at school every day – missing school puts them behind.

We all want our students to get a great education, and the building blocks for a great education begin with students coming to school each and every day.

If students miss school regularly, they miss out on learning the fundamental skills that will set them up for success in the later years of school. Each missed day is associated with progressively lower achievement in numeracy, writing and reading.

Attendance patterns are established early – a child regularly missing days in kindergarten or in the early years of school will often continue to miss classes in the later years, and receive lower test scores than their classmates."

2024 Prep Enrolments

If you currently have a child in kindergarten, who you plan to enrol in Prep at Beaumaris Primary School in 2024, and have not yet completed the application process, we would ask that you complete the enrolment process in the next couple of days. The scheduled date for enrolling is now upon us.

Please contact our office to complete your forms. This will assist with our planning for 2024. Yes, the year is moving along quickly!

Enjoy the weekend, everyone!
