Literacy:

We have been loving learning about persuasive texts including news articles, book reviews, letters and advertisements. We have learnt that persuasive text include an introduction, 3 arguments and a conclusion.

1O enjoyed doing the digraph /or/ SMART Spelling in the sunshine on Monday!

Maths:

Students have been focusing on sharing and division this term. They have been learning how to write number sentences, equal groups and arrays. Students have learnt the connection with multiplication and repeated addition. 1O spent some time out at the learning shack to complete their worded problems on Wednesday afternoon.

Inquiry:

We have started learning about Australia this term. We have been investigating how Australia can be represented on a map such as our states and territories. Students learnt about capital cities and what makes Australia unique such as their landmarks. We have also looked at the 7 continents of the world.

Buddies:

We enjoyed doing some Halloween activities with our buddies last Friday. This included some coloured of witches, pumpkins, bats and lots more.

Parent Reading:

This term are excited to be welcoming volunteers back onsite at ACPS to begin parent reading. Please speak to your child’s teacher if you are interested in helping out. Thanks so all those volunteers who have started this week.
