READER CUP

Finally, after two years, we were able to hold our annual event 'The Readers Cup'. 

We had eight teams competing for the trophy: The Jazzy Potatoes, Ben, The Nerds, Mr Extra Large, The Beasties, The Spark Plugs, The Foodies and Kentucky Fried Chicken. To take part they needed to read 4 books and then compete in two rounds: the quiz and the creative round. 

This year, and for the first time, The Jazzy Potatoes won both the overall trophy (quiz and creative round combined) and the best creative trophy. They did a fantastic job, creating models of the setting and creatures from 'The Maze Runner'. 

Well done to Isla McClean, Jen Shang, Zara Reis and Mia Jakovlev. They will receive engraved medals and they names will be engraved on our trophies. 

All participants received a free book for their participation. Thank you to two of our ex-Librarians, Judith Hawes and Lynne Jepson for adjudicating, alongside our Assistant Principal, Leisa Higgins.
