Hi Everyone!
We had a very busy week last week in the PFA running the Mother’s Day Stalls and then the Lunch.
The Mother's Day stall was a real joy as always to run, with children so excited to buy their mum or special person a gift. We sold over 900 gifts which was amazing. Thanks to Kylie, Susan and team for all their work sourcing and selling the beautiful gifts.
Once again, the two Kates did an amazing job organising the Mother’s Day lunch. A beautiful day with many staying until lights out!
The venue was beautiful, the raffle amazing, goodie bags were a treat, the band so much fun, and the free cocktail very drinkable! Thanks to Kate E & Kate R for organising and Tara and Rachel for collecting so many awesome raffle prices and goodie bag gifts. The event was supported by many local businesses, so please take a look at the list below to support them in return.
A few more events coming in the next few weeks, so please read below and help where you can.
Sushi Day
On 2 June 2022 the PFA will be facilitating sushi deliveries at lunch time for our students to enjoy. Sushi needs to be pre-ordered through the Parent Portal and will be delivered to your child’s classroom in time for lunch that day. There are four flavours to choose from - tuna, salmon, chicken and avocado – sourced from local business Yarakucho. The cost is $3 per sushi roll with proceeds going toward PFA projects for our school. Please ensure you get your orders in by 5pm on 26 May 2022. Order via the portal and please ensure you update your child's class details on the Parent Portal prior to making your sushi order, so that we can ensure the sushi is delivered to the right classroom.
Democracy Sausage
Our gym is becoming a polling booth on Sat 21st May and we will be running a sausage sizzle, cake stall and play table to raise money for the school. We need volunteers to help out throughout the day and have organised a roster. We are suggesting each grade level gets a team together for an hour in the day, but if you can't make your grades hour, please nominate yourself for whenever you are free.

Cake donations
We will be running a cake stall on polling day and need all the cookies, cakes, muffins and slices you can bake! Please bring any donations to the staffroom on Thurs - Fri 19-20th or to the cake stall on the day. Tupperware and containers will be available to pick up the following Monday from the staffroom.
Grandparents Day
As part of Education week we will be inviting Grandparents into the school on Friday 27th May. It is lovely to get this event back into the diary after two years. The classrooms will be open from 8.45am until 9.50am for Grandparents to visit. From 9.50 – 10.45 the PFA will run a morning tea in the gym, so grandparents can catch up with each other.
We would love to have some help with the catering so if you can bake a cake or grab something from the shops we would be very grateful. Donations to be dropped from Thursday 26th on wards.
Children's Book Stall- Moved to Wednesday 25th May
The book stall was postponed last term, and we have moved this to form part of education week on Wed 25th May. Books will be sold during the day with a final sale 3.30 - 4.00pm at the second hand clothing shop. We will sell them for $1 a book. Please send money with your child. If you had a sort some over the holidays, please drop your books to us. Small donations will be accepted in the office, but larger deliveries will need to be arranged separately and dropped directly to the 2nd hand uniform stall. Please email the PFA to arrange a time. The more we have to sell, the more money we can raise for the school. Get in touch if you can help run the stall on the day.
The School Uniform Shop will run on Wednesday 25th May (3.15pm-3.45pm) and Friday 10th June (8.30am- 9.15am). House Colour Tees will also be sold here, so please get sorted for the next House Event. They are $10. This will be at the end classroom closest to the Oval. You can enter from the side gate on Clark Street, close to the Poolman street corner. Card and Cash payments will be possible, but please try and have the correct money if paying cash.
