Election Day Extravaganza

We had a magical day on Saturday. The sun was shining, the morning crisp and the smell of freshly brewed coffee and sizzling sausages filled the air. Bright helium balloons, donated from Lombards, added pops of colour on each of our stalls and delighted small children throughout the day when handed out as gifts.

The bake stall was hugely popular and the desire for a democracy sausage was truly incredible! We also sold a wonderful amount of beanies with donations from each sale given to the school. And don't even get me started on how amazing the live music was! The Bluey and Elsa entertainers had the children enthralled with their dance moves - it was all really a sight to behold. And quite incredible considering it was all for voting day!

None of this awesomeness could have been possible without an incredible amount of work behind the scenes. To all the bakers and donors to the bake stall I would like to give you all my heartfelt thanks. To all the volunteers that worked leading up to the day, and over the day, your help and input was extremely appreciated and we couldn't have done it without you. The Trinity pupils dressed in their uniforms selling baked goods in the voting queue was also a wonderful help.

A very special mention to Archie who coordinated the sausage sizzle. Her organisational skills and execution of a brilliant and tightly run sausage sizzle was truly inspirational! Also a monumental thank you to Sophie who ran our cafe quality bake stall like a professional. Gordon and his band were a fabulous addition and really added to the atmosphere. And the teachers who rolled up their sleeves and helped with what needed to be done, thank you. Everyone worked so hard and I for one was exhausted come home time and a much needed nap was required!
