5/6 FA Religious Education

Mr Anania

In Term 2, Grade 5/6 FA have been learning about Stewardship in Religion. We learnt about how we can better care for our environment by actions we can do in our own lives. Students examined the pollution in the Mekong River as read about in the class text ‘Little Brother’ by Allan Baille. We also explored the pollution in the Yarra River as it is our local river system. 5/6 FA then discussed what the Catholic Church and Aboriginal Elders say about water pollution which is, ‘If we take care of our water systems our earth and people will be much more healthy.’

Below are some comments about Stewardship from 5 / 6 FA students;

'As a person who lives on the earth it's important I care for it.' Giovanni

'It was interesting to learn that the Pope has strong views about water pollution.' Helena
