Principal's News

Mr Rodrigues

Dear Families,

What a wonderful spectacle of community we witnessed last Saturday. Parents, staff and children all working together to create a wonderful atmosphere which I am confident would have easily been one of the best places to vote at our recent Federal election. Even our visitors from Channel 10 dropped in twice to get their story for the evening news.   I know there were many parents, staff and students who helped out on the day, setting up, cooking, selling, cleaning and then packing up, but I still need to say a special thanks to our three main parent coordinators, Jenny Gill, Archie Hoang and Sophie Issa who did a tremendous job in planning, then putting into action, our fundraising efforts. Thanks also to Ms Marinelli who organized our special guests, Bluey and Elsa who were a definite hit, especially for our children. Thankfully, also our playground was ready just in time and provided a beautiful place to host so many members of our local community. Eliza, who was the polling supervisor on the day also asked me to pass on her many thanks to our community as, in her own words, 'this was one of the best polling days I have ever seen.'

With the energy and enthusiasm created on Saturday I look forward to more opportunities to work together to continue to build our school community at Trinity. (Oh! and how fantastic was the band, Thanks Gordon and the Ridgeback Blues Band.

Election Day

Prayer: for government leaders and their families.

Dear Lord we pray that government leaders and their families would be strengthened by Christ, fulfilled by the time they have together, and supportive and encouraging of one another. God, thank You for the men and women who serve our country in leadership roles and for their families.

National Reconciliation Week

National Reconciliation Week (NRW) is a time for all Australians to learn about our shared histories, cultures, and achievements, and to explore how each of us can contribute to achieving reconciliation in Australia.

School Closure Day

Our staff enjoyed a wonderful and extremely worthwhile day together last Friday. Our focus for the day was, 'The Spirituality of Teaching & Learning'.  Staff were given opportunities to explore questions and reflect on the work we do in education, in todays world.
