Marcia Tsiros

 

Marcia (Davidson) Tsiros graduated from Killester College 1995, and went on to do a Bachelor of Nursing at Deakin University.

 

Marcia is an Associate Nurse Unit Manager at Dandenong Hospital Operating Suite at Monash Health.  She has been nursing for 20 years, 18 years in theatre.  Has her post graduate diploma in Perioperative nursing, an accredited nurse immuniser, holds a Professional certificate in Health and Wellness Coaching, is a Mental health first aid officer and ANMF delegate.  Marcia oversees the wellbeing team in collaboration with the Anaesthetic department.  Program designed and facilitates Monash Health’s first theatre graduate nurse wellness program, and the strengths approach module for the CNS development program.   Marcia received a highly commended award at 2022 Monash Health Nursing and Midwifery awards for innovation in nursing for her work in wellness and wellbeing initiatives. 

 

Marcia is married with two teenage daughters, has trained 15 years in Taekwondo, represented Australia at World Championships in the UK in 2016, winning individual gold in sparring in her weight category and individual bronze in patterns and medals in the women's team, she enjoys hiking, and music.  Whenever she can she loves to return to Killester to volunteer her time, this year participating in the year 9 and 10 career development programs.
