P.E and Sport 

District Cross Country

A very big congratulations and thank-you to the St Joseph's Cross Country representatives. As I wrote in the last newsletter, I witnessed a strong team spirit, amazing enthusiasm, determination and effort. 

Our Cross Country Team Representatives were:

12/13 yr old Girls- Indi C, Lucy S, Macey W

12/13 yr old Boys- Sam G, Austin C, Taj M, Billy L,  Riley  W, Ash B and Kurtis T

11 yr old Girls- Evie B, Eliza W and Willow C

11yr old Boys- Kobe T, Michael T, Harry M, Alistair L and Sammi I

9/10 yr old Girls- Matilda C, Tahlia C, Pia R, Lily W, Olive E, Ella K, Olivia M, Isabelle M, Evie N and Harriet W

9/10 yr Old Boys- Jack F, Sonny C, Finn B, Eric L, Archie C, Corbin B, Lachlan L, 

Xavier M and Alfred H. 

The standard of racing was spectacular and there were many impressive performances by St Joseph's students, across all events, including the following 8 students who made it through to the Division event:

Indi C- 9th Place

Sam G- 5th Place

Evie B- 2nd Place

Kobe T- 3rd Place

Matilda C- 4th Place

Tahlia C- 6th Place

Lachlan L- 1st Place

Alfred H- 1st Place

Division Cross Country

On Tuesday 31 May, Indi, Sam, Evie, Kobe, Matilda, Tahlia and Alfred competed at the Division Cross Country in the blustery winter conditions. What an incredible performance by all of them. To make it to this level is an achievement in itself!

A very big congratulations to Kobe who won the 11 yr old boys category, Matilda who placed 9th in the 9/10 Girls category and Alfred who won his category.

We wish Kobe, Matilda and Alfred all the best at the upcoming Regional Cross Country event. 

This is Isabella in Yr 1/2 who competed in her first 5km Fun Run a few weeks ago, with her Dad. Isabella shared with us her medal and training diary, something she should be extremely proud of. Her persistence and determination to continue training is inspiring. We wish you all the best for your upcoming competitions and can't wait to hear how you go.
