Student Reporters

Team 1: Ella, Anna and Charlotte

In Term 2 Week 4 the school has been working on a lot of things and we’re going to show you in this newsletter.

In the BER building the preps have been working on geography; people and places as well as lots of other things. In Ms B’s class they have grown magic beans and completed some cool maths activities. Ms Nash’s class have been writing about a magic coat. In Ms. Robertson’s class, they have been working on shapes 2D and 3D and some spelling and reading at their assigned reading levels.

The senior area has also been working on a variety of activities. Mrs. Wilkinson’s class have been working on making inferences, geometry, 2D and 3D shapes as well as writing stories. In 45S they have been mostly working on story writing on computers and on paper and on making inferences and they have been using a website called “geometric” and they have also done some work on shapes.

In 56H they have been working on converting numbers for improper fractions, and processes and they are also learning about different countries. After they do that, they must do a report about that country. In 56S, they have been mostly working on all the math processes, car comprehension and reading cards. Lately, they have done an individual planner, where the students choose the order in which they complete their set tasks.

In addition to classroom activities, there have also been many exciting things happening outside. Next to the office courtyard, we are putting up a giant shade cloth that might even become an outdoor classroom. We are also putting a shade cloth over the table in the front of the school. In the Aboriginal garden in the back left corner of the school, we are going to be putting more plants and developing it further.
