Year 3 Writing

The Year 3s have really enjoyed learning about biomes within the southern continents of South America, Africa and Australia this term. In literacy sessions students have been learning how to write an information report and have improved their skills in using technical language and paraphrasing facts into their own words for their writing.

 I liked looking for the photos and researching interesting facts about Water Dragons. I learnt that information reports need subheadings, photos and maps. Harrison 3A

I have learnt about paraphrasing. When I was researching my topic I found information online and then paraphrased it before writing it on my poster.

I enjoyed doing my drawings as when my drawings look good I have a positive mindset. In my information report I improved on paraphrasing and deleted parts that I did not understand. I used a map because it shows where in the world the Orcas live.  Lulu 3A
