Science News

Term 2 has been a busy term for the Science department at Heathmont College. Year 7s have been exploring the topic of Forces. They have looking at gravity using whirly birds and examining static electricity with balloons. The year 8s have been busy swabbing different areas onto plates around the school searching for the dirtiest place (usually their mobile phones!). The year 9s have started chemistry where they are starting to look at the effects of nuclear radiation. The year 10s and year 11s have been busy sitting exams and we wish them luck. The year 12s are completing SACs in preparation for the end of unit 3.
