High School

Term 3 Co-curricular Art and Ceramics Signup
We will be offering two co-curricular arts activities in Term 3. These groups are open to Clemes and High School students.
On Monday afternoon from 3.50pm–5.00pm in Studio 2, A302, we will be offering an Art Club. The focus of this group will be on printmaking, painting and drawing. Art Club encourages students to explore their ideas in a creative way. Students can be guided by their own interests or respond to a range of pre-planned art making experiences. No art background required. However, this is also a space for existing art students to further develop their art practice. To join the group please email Luke Edmunds - ledmunds@friends.tas.edu.au
There will be one Ceramics group running in Term 3, on Tuesday afternoons from 3.50pm– 5.00pm in the Ceramics Studio. If you intend to continue with ceramics or would like to join the group please email Miriam Berkery - mberkery@friends.tas.edu.au
Year 10 Subject Selections
As Year 10 students begin their subject selections for Years 11 and 12, the choices and decision making can often appear overwhelming. Study, Work and Grow, a website with a weekly newsletter, which all Year 10's have access to, has some excellent resources to support the process. This week they have included Alan Finkel’s (Australian Chief Scientist) advice to Julie in Year 10 which is a fabulous letter. It is really worth reading, with information that could assist students in developing the right mindset and helping them prioritise.
