Sustainability News

This term some members of the sustainability team have been chosen to represent our school at the Love Your Locals Day on September 9th 2022. This is a wonderful opportunity for our sustainability leaders to shine.

The team has been challenged with the following question:

"We need smarter, greener towns for people and wildlife. How can we create a Victorian western region that is sustainable for people and creates safe habitat for animals like the Eastern Barred Bandicoot, The Orange Bellied Parrot or the Plains Wanderer?'

The team will then come up with a concept, design and then present this to the zoo and visitors. They will also participate in a range of engaging rotational activities focusing on our local species, habitat, Indigenous culture, and sustainability, led by Zoo staff.
