Week 4 Term 3

Dear Parents and Carers,

I would like to send our best wishes to the Australian Netball Team and Manuela’s daughter Liz. We will be cheering you all on and look forward to seeing all the photos on your return. We hope that you enjoy your time away and a well deserved rest.

Last week we had the wonderful opportunity to celebrate grandparents' morning. I would like to thank  Father Linh, Annette and the teachers for putting together such a special morning. The mass was beautiful with many in attendance, the grandparents then joined the children for a special activity in the learning space. Thank you to everyone for such a beautiful morning. It was so lovely to meet all the grandparents.

This week we look forward to the first Parish/Class Mass which will be held every Tuesday at 9:15 am. This week 1/2AM and 3/4KD will be attending mass together. All parents are invited to attend, we believe this is a great opportunity for us to strengthen our parish and school connections. Fr Linh is very excited to celebrate mass with the school community.

This Friday the 5th of August, Year 6 students will confirm the promises made on their behalf at Baptism, and will be sealed with the gift of the Holy Spirit during the Sacrament of Confirmation.  We look forward to celebrating this special occasion with you and your family.

Congratulations

This Thursday,  3 teams will be participating in the STEM MAD showcase. We are so very proud of the work of the six teams who submitted entries this year.  A magnificent effort by everyone and especially Mr Frazzetto who has worked tirelessly to support all of the students. This Thursday 4th August, Mr Frazzetto and I will be attending the STEM MAD showcase where the students will have the opportunity to pitch their ideas to the judges and promote their wonderful inventions. We wish them all the very best.

Congratulations

What an amazing milestone that our Foundation students are reaching this Wednesday! Congratulations on making it to 100 days of school, we are so very proud of your progress and achievement so far this year. Enjoy all the fun 100-day activities that Ms Wenckowski has planned for you.  Can’t wait to see you all dressed up as 100-year-olds.

Thank You - Year 6 Confirmation Reflection Day

Thank you to the Year 5/6 teachers, seminarian Ian Vergal and Annette for organising such a wonderful day for our Year 6 students in preparation for their Sacrament of Confirmation. Ian commented on how well the students engaged in the content and how reflective the students were. The students had some amazing wonderings and were genuinely touched by the letters that their parents wrote for them.

Thank You - Hot Food Day

Many thanks to all the parents who helped on hot food day, especially Bec Archibald for organising the day. The kids said it was the best one so far.

Have a wonderful week,

Vira Pirrotta
