12N Three Way Conferences Postponed
Just a quick reminder to families in 12N that their Three Way Conferences have been postponed to next Thursday 11 August. The same times have been allocated as were previously scheduled by parents. Apologies for any inconvenience.
National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Children’s Day Celebrations
First Nation’s families are invited to a fun morning at the Barrbunin Beek space in Heidelberg to celebrate the National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Children’s Day! There will be lots happening including art, face painting, story telling and traditional games. You can contact the office to find out more or ring Blair on 0481 141 422.
Book Week Celebrations
Parents are invited to surround themselves in books at the Scholastic Book fair over the coming days. The Book Fair is open on Thursday and Friday afternoon directly after school in the lower building in the 4/5/6 Open Learning Area.
On Monday, the Book Fair will be open from 2:00pm prior to our book character parade. Please be conscious that there is no change that can be provided so come with an exact amount or a handy credit/debit card!
Book Character Parade
Please don’t panic on Monday if you see a gathering or witches, cartoon characters, detectives, or a wide range of other book characters in the playground. Students are encouraged to dress up as their favourite book character (and bring along the book if possible). Parents are most welcome to watch and be amazed at the stories and characters that will be revealed on Monday at 2:30pm outside the lower building, during the character parade.
North East Link Project Donation
We’re thrilled to receive $2,500 worth of plants from the North East Link Project. We will be gathering our sustainability leaders to work collaboratively to consider the plants we purchase and the best places for them over the coming weeks. Hang on tight because I am sure that we will see some changes to our spaces over the coming months!
