Student Report

Hi I’m Abby, and I’m Malik.

We are here today to tell you about the district swimming carnival last Friday. We walked into the MAC swim centre very nervous and excited. The race began with the A group freestyle, followed by the B group and there were also Backstroke, breaststroke, relay and butterfly for 25 metres and 50 metres.

We all put in 100% effort and we were very proud of each other. When we got back to school we were very tired. The swimmers who came first and second in 50m races will qualify for the next round.

We would like to thank Stratos for organising and for Shannon and Binh for coming with us. Well done to all the students who made it, and good luck in the next round.

Stratos Swimming Report

Last Friday the Footscray District Swimming Carnival was held at the MAC. Six schools participated in the carnival with all competitors and spectators contributing to an exciting days racing at the pool. Our student acquitted themselves very well. A big thank to the volunteers who assisted in making the day run smoothly. The results of the District Swimming Carnival are listed below with competitors who had a first in the relay or a top two finish in the individual 50m races and A freestyle races qualifying for the Division Swimming Carnival to be held at the St Albans Leisure Centre on Tuesday 17th March. Notes and information regarding the carnival will be handed out in the coming weeks. All division qualifiers results are in bold.
