From the Boarding Captains

Farewell

Term Three has now come to an end, meaning an end to the time here at GSG and boarding for the Year Twelve students. I have to say that the time has gone so quickly that it felt like not that long ago we were back in Term One at the beginning of the year!

Levi and I have thoroughly enjoyed our time here at GSG, especially the opportunity to be your Boarding Captains this year. I thank all the staff and supervisors for an amazing year and for helping us along each step of the way. A big thank you to Mr Goggins, Mrs Ferreira, Mr Tompkin and Mrs Franzinelli for helping Levi and I as Boarding Captains, making our transition into the role smooth and guiding us along each step of the way.

I have also enjoyed my time here at boarding and it has been an honour to get to know and build friendships with so many like-minded people. I hope you all have an enjoyable last term as I know it will fly past just like this one has. To all the Year Twelve students doing exams, I wish them the very best.

It is sad to be leaving a safe place that we all have known for so long and in which we ahve made so many memories. From the prospective Boarding Captain speeches that all boarders heard the other night, I am confident boarding will be left in very capable hands, and I wish the future leaders all the best. Thank you all for an amazing year. It has been an absolute privilege to be your Boarding Captains for 2019.
