It was with great satisfaction and some pride today that the Gardening Club met to check on our garden beds. You might be interested to know that we have had three failed attempts at growing our seedlings since our return to school this term. It seems some very hungry creature (a possum? a bird?) has been completely eating every one of our vegetables right down to ground level. This is disheartening for any gardener! However, we put our thinking caps on and decided it was time to use nets on two of our garden beds, with a very successful result. Now we just have to keep our veggies watered and covered a little longer before we can enjoy eating them ourselves.
