ASSISTANT PRINCIPALS NEWS

LINDA BUCKERIDGE

Hi there everyone and welcome back to Term 3!

What a bizarre and different world we have lived in for most of 2020.

As some of you may know, I popped over to Cranbourne Park PS as Acting Principal for Term 2 and although quite the whirlwind, I sure did miss the CESC community!

Upon my return I was so happy to hear stories of great success and perseverance during the previous lockdown period. Students and families had pushed through a very challenging and new way of schooling, often with great results.

The reason I refer to this success from Term 2 is because here we are again in Term 3 and again in lockdown, but there is every reason to keep connected to school and experience success. Sure, the success may look quite different to a regular school day on premises, but I am sure that everyone of you is experiencing a positive or a little win each day. I want to encourage you to talk to your teachers via Webex, email your teachers, contact leaders and wellbeing if things are tough and generally keep an open mind as to how this year will unfold. We know it is different, we know it is weird, but we also know the strength of our community at CESC and that together we will get through it.

I am very proud of the year 7 and 8 students for all the hard work they are putting in to battle through this unprecedented time. I cannot tell you how much both myself, your leaders and teachers are looking forward to having you back onsite, for more than just a few weeks. That time will come and until then look after yourselves, stay safe, stay home and keep connected as we are here to help and support you with your learning and of course your wellbeing.
