MPS EASTER RAFFLE
The MPS Easter raffle is a highlight of the year and the prizes will be drawn at a special assembly on the last day of term, Thursday 29th March.
For those families who are new to the school, the Easter raffle begins with this call for donations for chocolate goodies of all descriptions or any other items suitable for an Easter hamper. Your donation doesn’t have to be chocolates, but of course, this is the most popular item with the children. Other items, which are helpful, include anything Easter, ribbon, baskets, and Easter toys etc.
These items can be left at the school office any time from now until Monday 26 March. MPS families are always very generous with their donations and we usually have about 100 prizes to be won. First prize is always an enormous hamper of goodies.
Raffle tickets (10) will soon be sent home with your eldest child. The tickets will be $1 each and spare tickets will be available from the office if you need more. Tickets and money will be due back on Monday 26th March.
If you can donate any spare cane or wicker baskets or decorative boxes, they will be gratefully received to help us package up all of the prizes.
Helpers will be required to assist in putting the hampers together on Tuesday 27 March from 3.30pm in the school staffroom. ***Note: Not in the hall as in previous years. Please bring scissors and sticky tape if you are able.
Please reply to Glenice if you are able to help with the wrapping of the prizes.

FROM THE IRC
Thank you Bendigo Bank!
Thanks to a $1000 donation by Bendigo Bank towards our carnival last year, we were able to buy a portable charging and storage station for our school set of robotic Sphero SPRK+ devices. This will help us to implement STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) and the digital curriculum across the school.
Our robotics program can now become mobile, as teachers will be able to take the robotics into their classroom to assist with educational programs such as coding, mathematics, team work, problem solving and strategic thinking.

FROM THE ART ROOM
This term, students in grade 4 will be making scarecrows for the kitchen garden and other garden areas around the school.
We are requiring old clothing to dress our scarecrows, so donations of old adult clothing, such as shirts, pants, hats and other accessories would be much appreciated; the more colourful the better.
Thanking you,
Helen Russell & grade 4 students.
SCHOOL PHOTO DAY-FRIDAY 2nd MARCH
A further reminder regarding school photo day:
IF YOUR CHILD INTENDS TO WEAR A POLO TOP ON THE DAY, PLEASE NOTE THAT IT MUST BE THE GOLD SHIRT!
Photo forms have been distributed via the classroom, but if you would like a sibling photograph to be taken on the day, these can be ordered online or the separate forms can be collected from the office.
FROM THE SICK BAY
Could parents please add the NEW phone number for sickbay into their mobile phones, so that when, or if, Amanda has to contact you about your sick or injured child, the number will appear on your phone.
The NEW number is 0455 105 527
Thank you,
Amanda Daemen
ELIGIBILITY FOR CSEF

Please read the notice below to check on your eligibility.
CSEF forms are available at the office and should be returned by 30 June 2018.

- Changed family circumstances: such as a change of custody, change of name, concession card number, or new siblings commencing at the school in 2018.
