Year 8 News

Humanities

Year 8 Humanities students have started their Remote Learning 2.0 course studying Medieval Europe History. Students of 8K and 8L have been using 1 lesson each week to work through their performance task.  Part of the performance task required students to either cook a medieval dish, build a model of something from Medieval Europe or design a Medieval costume. Students have been working hard at home to complete this section of their Performance Task and the results have been amazing!

Remote Learning Reflection

My perspective on lockdown 2.0 is pretty positive and personally I like learning at both home and school as they have there conveniences. I believe all of us are in the same position, wanting this horrible virus gone and in order to do so we are challenging ourselves to adapt to this new normal. I have enjoyed the variety of sporting opportunities including the virtual SSV cross country race and that has really benefited my attitude toward the academic elements of remote learning. Over this inexplicable journey I have really learnt to appreciate the precious things in my life and I am beyond grateful.
